Our son was born full term and was very weak due to his diagnosis of Prader Willi Syndrom. He was tube fed, and therapy started within the first month of his life...We added Horse Therapy when he was three. Our team of therapists noticed the change within a couple of session of Equestrian Therapy. They commented on his increased balance, posture, core strength, as well as his ability to give direction...When my son is on top of one of our horse friends I forget that he is disabled. I forget that he is slower than his peers. I forget about Prader Willi. I feel pride - I feel strength-...and I feel peace. More importantly the smile on my son's face tells me he feels the say way. ---D.S.

My daughter...is a four year old girl born prematurely...At the age of 2...diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. We expressed to the doctor some of our concern for our daughter's development and he suggested we look into Hippotherapy....I came across A Horse Connection and the rest is history...We had struggled to provide...with meaningful activities that would not only engage her but benefit her physical needs. We found it. ....was fully engaged for the total 45 minutes while Nancy and her volunteers maneuvered the horse and created fun and naturalistic activities providing much needed balance and trunk strengthening...natural gate began to also change after riding for several months. ...orthopedic doctor commented, "Whatever you are doing keep doing it". ---L.K.
