Camps at A Horse Connection

All camps are led by Nancy King, MS, OTL, founder and director, with 25 plus years of expertise in equine assisted Occupational Therapy.

Camps Emphasize: 
  • Team Work and Team problem solving 
  • Executive Function Skill development.
  • Responsibility for self and others. 
  • Confidence building through activities set up for success.
  • Group activities that include attention to individual participant needs. 
  • Safe, supportive and inclusive.

Camp activities my include:
  • Horse Education: All about horses, anatomy, herd behavior, physical and mental health for horses.
  • Horse Care: grooming, bathing, saddle and bridle care.
  • Riding and Games: Take turns on riding, trail riding, painting and decorating Horses!
  • At least one visit to Mini Horse Farm.
  • Horse themed crafts
  • Clean Up and Group reflections.
