How It Works
Using the movement of the horse during treatment (known as hippotherapy), and by participating in horse related therapeutic activities, such as grooming and horse care your child will: ● Increase trunk strength, balance, and tone ● Improve gross and fine motor coordination and motor planning ● Regulate their sensory system including tactile, proprioception and vestibular ● Develop better social skills and emotional regulation ● Improve problem solving, sequencing, organization. ● Increase confidence and self-esteem ● Develop adaptive coping strategies ● Decrease anxiety, frustration and impulsivity |
