A Horse Connection is Now Offering Groups and Camps!
Let by Equine-Assisted Occupational Therapy specialist, Nancy King, MS, OTL, each group or camp will be filled with engaging activities to address everyone's needs. Experience the benefits of being with horses and being in nature during these challenging times. These inclusive groups will have no more than 6 people in a group and will be well supervised. We will be outside, following CDC recommended protocols. All staff is fully vaccinated.
Groups Emphasize:
A Horse-Human-Nature Connection.
Safely build your social skills through engaging, team-building activities.
Build confidence and improve self awareness.
De-stress and decrease anxiety: Grooming, Petting, and just being around horses is super calming.
Breathe the same fresh air as the horses breathe, or at least different air than you've been breathing since 2020!
Walking with horses in the woods, seeing trees and nature, just relaxing.
Learning about horses, and what makes them so special is very cool and interesting.
Fun and funny games with the horses, because laughing is good medicine!
Camps Emphasize:
Team Work and Team problem solving
Executive Function Skill development.
Responsibility for self and others.
Confidence building through activities set up for success.
Group activities that include attention to individual participant needs.
